This is a very large sauce pan, more than adequate for our needs. It browns meats well and is excellent for saute... however, after just a few uses it shows "scuff marks" on the sides and bottoms. Not scratches, as I am very careful with the utensils I use... only plastic, never metal. It has a warranty but a very generic one (for manufacturers defects only). Just hope these "scuff marks" do not escalate.

I recently replaced all of my pans with Anolon Advanced. Instead of getting a set, I ordered the pans that met my needs most. One of those pans was the 5-1/2 Quart Covered Saucier Pan, and it has quickly become my favorite pan. This pan handles so many tasks, and this one pan can easily take the place of two pieces, i.e. a wok pan and a large frying pan. I love that it has tall sides so food doesn't slip over the sides as sometimes happens with a frying pan. Plus, the higher sides keep splatters from getting all over my stove top. The larger capacity also allows me to cook many dishes that wouldn't fit into a frying pan for stove top cooking.The pan, like all of those in the Anolon Advanced line, is a high quality, solid piece that will last. I am incredibly happy that I purchased this pan, and I highly recommend it.

Five months of use and this pan is the most utilized in our kitchen. I can grill two eggs in a hole, side by side. Sauces collect in the bottom beautifully, and can be used for basting or collected easily with slight tilt of the pan. The nonstick on the outside of pan is a real plus for clean up. I have hand washed and used nylon tools. The pan stlll looks like new.
