I bought this 12 piece set in 2006 for my wife for Christmas... I know, I know but we really needed a new set. I read reviews of many different sets out there and the most consistent and most positive and just plain MOST reviews were for the Anolon Advance. Got a great deal at $219 with free shipping! But still worth it at asking price now!The pots and pans are easy to use, easy to clean and hold up well. Our favorite is the 12" 5qt covered saute pan. The handle recently broke (the rubber) and haven't sent it back to repair yet. Will update on the return and repair. We have added other pieces and have been very happy with the overall performance. Now all we need is to upgrade is the stove!If you are wondering if these will hold up, just read a few reviews! We make popcorn in the 4 qt sauce pot and it cleans up nicely. We have burned food in several of the pots (steamed broccoli when the water boils out and stinks!!!) and they always clean up easily with little scrubbing, even after 2 1/2 years. The lids are looking great too.You will be happy you have these pots and pans.UPDATE!!! 1/2012 We have had this set going on six years. The entire set is holding up quite well and is showing minimal yet normal everyday wear. We are in a new place and have an electric range. We still haven't returned the 5qt covered saute pan...we cannot live without it!!! (I plan on getting a stainless 12" or 13" skillet before I send this one back) Clean up is still easier than any other pots or skillets that I have ever had. The list are great, I like that you can see through them and keep an eye on what's cooking. The only minor problem so far is that several of the handles are "slipping" but have not broken free entirely. As for non-stick, the frying pans need just the littlest bit of oil & butter (depending what your doing)to keep from sticking (is there any truly non stick skillet?). The pans have faded somewhat - particularly the frying pans. We have not seen any peeling of any coating. The pans are heavy and do take a few minutes to heat up, but I think that is normal for better quality pans. For the most part they heat up pretty evenly. We love using the 4 1/2qt Covered Tapered Stockpot, it is great for soups and pasta. I made my first Roux for a wonderful Turkey Poblano Gumbo in this pot and it turned out fantastic. We have a larger family than most (6) so even though we have the 3.5 qt Straining Saucepan which is good for pasta, we usually use the tapered stock pot for spaghetti type pasta.I love to cook, and having this set has made it even more fun. Overall this has been a great set for us.

We got this cookware a little less than a year ago. It is really great to use, and the padded handles are very comfortable and stay cool. The 8 inch skillet unfortunately is already showing signs of peeling the nonstick coating, and things are sticking badly. Although we do follow the care instructions, we do use this pan at least once and sometimes twice a day, but I would have wanted the coating to last at least a little longer.

We purchased this cookware about 3 months ago and use it on a gas stove.Pros - Well constructed, non-stick surface, heats evenly and very quickly on gas stove, glass lids for checking of contents, handles stay cool, cleans easily with soap and water, lifetime limited warrantyCons - According to manufacturer info, not dishwasher safe and oven safe to only 350 degreesOverall - We would rate it a solid 5 if it had a higher oven heat tolerance and was dishwasher safe
